Re: So many shy members
yes I would admit to being post shy as I dont have any experience in the field of NV, but the more i read the more I learn.....
I like to read lots as I'm not electricaly minded, but i do like to have ago at making / copying it for myself (even if i do sometimes fail miserably)......

Re: So many shy members
been on here for several weeks now, reading up and learning a lot. and i havent done an intro for myself
hello my names jim and i am a nv addict and it lux like there isnt any hope for me.
i started off with a brake lens tape on a logun lamp, which was cheap and work well for what it is.
but i have seen the light on the dark side now, gen tubes are too expensive for me, and i am too skint and tight to buy any shop offerings.
so here i am diy homebrew nv, too poor to run with the watec boys so it will have to be 1/3" ccd for me. scopeless would be good.
cheers for now ratz1

If you take into consideration what you are saving on a scope if you can use that for a different rifle then a decent 1/3" effio camera with a menu will be very affordable if you persevere with getting a lens to fit to it with enough magnification to use it for your application. Rolaids has done a very good one and I think there's someone else about sorted one out by now.

Aye for one must fess up to being a bit shy about posting . This is largely due to the fact that I am
a NV apprentice so to speak , but I do really enjoy reading the technical info . Sooooo thank you to
everyone that keeps me informed .

I have been out of touch for the last month because I went deer hunting with a cycle. hit the deer doing 60 mph on a freeway and broke six ribs and some road rash on my leg.
