That's likely to be a bugger for lots of users then. Both the Digital Ranger and my brothers N550 gave me serious eye-ache, even when using two filters and low brightness so I'd be very cautious about investing major expense in anything with similar viewing issues.

The manufacturers must have heard from umpteen users about the issue but continue to build them into the equipment. Perhaps there is no alternative? Very strange why someone who should know better keeps supplying it because some people manage to ignore it or compensate for it. I have to concede that brother - having spent over 1K on the tool has persevered with it and now rarely notices it. I know he's had his eyes lasered so maybe that fixed the issue for him.

He is asking £1 more for a second hand unit than the price of a new unit from Uttings. Whether it is a day or a week old it is still second hand.
I do not think it will sell at £1300.

I just noticed Uttings says coming soon.

there will always someone willing to pay over the odds for a new toy rather than wait the extra few weeks, ;)

i think it would be better to wait 6 months or so, before buying one just to make sure there arnt any major faults suddenly come to light

cheers jock

I agree with you Jock. Let them iron out any problems if there is any before adding it to the wish list.

The gent called Dave has replied to me indicating he'll see how the auction goes then contact me.

Auction closes Sunday night (24 Feb, 2013 21:47:34 GMT) So I'd guess it's in his interest to let as many people see it as possible.

Anyone interested in having a little get together let me know before 5PM Sunday please so I can arrange tings.
