First trip with the addonight
Re: First trip with the addonight
Was out last night after foxes. My son, who spots for me, found one 800 yards away wandering through some sheep. We took off after it, approaching in a horseshoe shape to keep the wind in our favour. Took longer to get there than expected and the fox had vanished, lots of gorse and stuff to hide in. A bit of calling and nothing. Walking back, he scans away up infront of us on another hill. Here it is walking away from us. Picked the pace up. Got to where it should have been, nothing. Called, it appeared out of a rash filled dip. Again walking/ trotting away from us. It was getting out of range when a car came down the track and turned it back, downside it was running and running hard. Wouldnt stop, lost it in the gorse bushes again. Waited quietly for a whil, 20min or so. Sure enough it appeared on the skyline but heading down into a small burnside. Half way down, it stopped, lay down on top of a large rock. We walked into 170yards, set up the quad sticks, flicked the addonight on, bang! One dead fox! Over two hours from start to finish. Very satisfying.
Re: First trip with the addonight
Sounds a satisfying evening out!
Re: First trip with the addonight
It was satisfying, thought we weren’t going to get him but patience won. Impressed with the addonight, it was a really dark night. Best i’ve seen it work.
Re: First trip with the addonight
what ir are you using ?
Re: First trip with the addonight
I tend to use the onboard ir. On Sat night I had it set on power level 2 and the beam set half way between flood and spot. I do have a T67 but find the onboard ir good enough for my use.
Re: First trip with the addonight
Thanks, I have a AGS scope sounds like they work ok with addon.
Re: First trip with the addonight
I use an old AGS on my air rifle, works well with the addonight even without PA
Re: First trip with the addonight

Re: First trip with the addonight
Selling like crazy at the mo, so got more stock in of the Addonight ( AKA nv007 ), and a few 25mm ones i got done for customers who have low power scopes and needed the extra magnification, i have a few extra 25mm ones if anyone interested, they are great if your more into spotting as they have extra on board mag, or great combined to the design i made for stand alone version ( see picture below) so you can use the 007 without a scope for close ratting or rabbits, then if you take it off for any reason, you can leave a red dot on that can stay zero'd
