Batteries leaked In a torch help

Help anyone?
I've been given a led lenser x21 torch. The batteries have leaked in the tube and I can't get them out, anyone know what will dissolve the discharge that's come out of them?
I'm sure there is no lasting damage.

Hi, If they are flat i would suggest using a self tapping screw, drill a very small pilot hole and then screw the screw in leaving enough out to put some mole grips or pliers on...then just pull.

lemon juice or vinegar should help since they are both acidic and your battery leak is alkaline.

If the stuff is welded on i still think you will need to use the self tapping screws. Its worth a try the other way first though

I'll fill it with vinegar first to see if it loosens it up
