cant find motor for my lamp

i bought a motor for my remote controlled lamp(make unknown)I made a few modifications and fitted the motor but it wouldn't turn so I took it out and tried it and it spun but as soon as I put it back in it would not turn,it must be when it is under pressure,so got to try something else. anyone got any ideas.

Your motor is not producing enough torque.
You either need a more powerful motor or one of the same size that spins more slowly (lower speed = more torque)
