The wonderful world of ebay live chat

Post by rodp » 24 Aug 2014, 19:52

Just had this conversation with ebay call centre

Ramie
Welcome to eBay Live Help, my name is Ramie. How may I be of assistance?
Ramie
I haven't received anything from you for a while, I am just checking to see if you are still connected?
rod-p
Hi ramie, I tried to report this to Rajashree but he cut me off !!!.. I made an offer on item 33******** which was listed as Argocat parts. Luckily he declined my offer because he's changed the item to some //////// now, the message declining my offer came back headed as a ///////!. This is downright fraud, he's listing sought after items then changing the listing !!!
Ramie
I apologise for the disconnected chat that you've had. It might be possible that my colleague has encounter a temporary glitch on their end. Though this is the case, I will be glad to assist you with your concern.
Ramie
May I ask for the item number so that I can look into this?
Ramie
I apologise I have just noticed the item number you have provided.
rod-p
Have you checked the listing, it's been changed from Argocat parts to a boat ///////////
Ramie
I will now check this for you.
rod-p
it's ok, I know you're busy
Ramie
I have checked on this and In order to resolve this, I will have to connect you with our Relevant Team now. Is that ok?
Ramie
I can assure you that they can further assist you on this as they have the tools and expertise in this type of concerns.
rod-p

Ramie

rod-p
better to read it
Jeremy
Please wait while I review the chat.
Jeremy
Sorry for the delay but I am still looking in this matter.
rod-p
OK. The advert for the loch boat should be removed at least, some of the watchers will think it's still for Argocat parts
rod-p
And the seller should have a warning for trying to fraudulently sell a different item.
Jeremy
Thank you for waiting.
Jeremy
I have reviewed your account and the chat. However, this chat has been wrongly transferred to this department.
Jeremy
I apologise for the inconvenience caused in this matter. Would it be alright if I transferred this chat to the correct department?

Rose Ann
Hi there.
Rose Ann
Welcome to eBay live chat. My name is Rose Ann, I'm happy to be able to assist you today.
Rose Ann
Thank you for contacting eBay Live Help. Please give me a moment to review your discussion with my colleague.
rod-p
Hi Rose Ann, you'll be the fifth person I've spoken to so far
Rose Ann
I want to make sure if we are connected. If it is convenient, please press "enter" so I can read what you've already typed in.
rod-p
ok
Rose Ann
Thanks for patiently waiting. I understand from what you have discussed with Jeremy that you need some assistance regarding a listing. I will find ways on what we can do to resolve this matter.
Rose Ann
Are you still with me? I want to make sure we haven’t lost connection.
rod-p
The way to resolve it is quite simple. The seller has tried to sell the ////// as Argocat parts. If he had accepted my offer I would have been liable to pay him as the listing changed after I bid.
Rose Ann
I can see that the item /////////// was listed as /////////////
Rose Ann
I'm afraid I will have to end this chat as I haven't received any response from you. You may just return to Live Help when you're ready. Thank you for using eBay.
rod-p
His adverts should be removed and he should get some form of warning for changing listings with offers on them.
rod-p
Hi rose ann, it was originally as argocat parts
rod-p
Are you all incompetent there or am I just unlucky to get the bad ones

This is bloody typical! 7 times out of 10, whenever I buy something on eBay there is some problem... in fact it is a similar story for every other product purchased somewhere else.

The latest one...? Updated my contract with EE... they wanted me to stay with them and gave me a great deal... That's if they actually let me use the bloody broadband! They cut off the old service on the 20th so to upgrade to fibre optics but nothing works. I am connecting to the net using my mobile included data plan, which isn't great. Been phoning them every day to find out when they are going to connect me but like rodp I only get frustrated. But they are quick on taking my money, never seems to be a problem in that transaction.
...the doctor said that I need to do gentle exercise... I said to him that I already did... trigger squeezing!
