Hi,

What was the 5-120 RageCam like in the end? How fair does it zoom etc... Any footage?

Cheers :-)

I never did buy a 5-120mm lens from Ragecams.

I bought a megapixel 10-130 auto iris lens. I removed the auto iris function from the lens and used it as a normal varifocal lens with an open iris. Works a treat.

For a spotter, I am now more interested in using a fixed lens, rather than a Varifocal. The continual having to refocus the image after moving from one distance to another, is a right pain. I beleive there is an 80mm fixed focus CS lens out there.

Ah OK. Sorry my misunderstanding. Any footage? I am also doing a spotter and want something similar. Was I'd the top mag comparable to? X7 Zoom on a normal scope?

Thanks.

I beleive that a 100mm lens is comparible to a 7x scope. I am sure someone will jump in and correct me, If i am wrong.

I do not have any footage. I have 25 gige usage from my Satellite broadband that costs me £72 a month. That usage is shared between tow people. I can not upload nor down load video, or I would have no usage nearing the end of the month. The joys of living in the sticks.
