Hi all, new here

Post by Crowman80 » 06 Jun 2014, 10:48

Hi all, I'm looking into building a DIY nv kit for use on my steyr scout .223 for foxing.
I'm looking for advice on the best camera to use? There seems to be a bewildering array!!! It will be viewing through a ziess 3x12x56 with paralax adjustment.
Iam happy with the build process but any advice gratefully recieved

An EJ230 camera behind the scope will be the way to go - now 'crect me if I'm wong but does that scope have a tapered eye bell?

Cheers, it's the duralyt model which has a uniform tube but the higher diavari models do as do some Schmidt's.
Do the cameras from sure 24 come with wiring or does this have to be purchased separately?
Thinking of rigging a Bosch aegis illuminatir if I can get hold of one for sensible money. If not the T20 with an it led seems a popular choice

There's a lot of differenve between a Bosch Aegis and a T20
The Bosch is a heavy, high power, area iluminator unsuitable for gun mounting
The T20 is a light, low power, point illuminator very sutiable for gun mounting

Thanks Bruce,
I was thinking more a vehicle mount for the aegis. What sort of distances can the t20 achieve are we talking rim fire territory or out to 175-200 metres?
