What magnification do you use ? Not NV.

Just being nosey here folks, but those of you that shoot rabbits at long range in daylight; What scope magnification do you use ?
I'm thinking I need to go higher mag but would be interested to know how others get on, maybe I'm just trying to convince myself I need treating to a new scope.

I have a 4.5-14 and use the 14 mag all the time as most of my shots tend to be 100 yard headshots. No problems with that. I did headshoot a 147 yard bunny the other week and could have done with extra mag. I have a Zeiss 6.5-20 x 50 that I would prefer to use but it is not as clear with NV and as I do so much NV it doesn't get used. (It will be coming up for sale if you are interested)

So I am on the lookout myself for a leup 6.5-25x50 sort of thing.Think that would work really well for me for day and night.

I wouldn't bover bud, had one it was rubbish, very poor in bad light and the varible eye relief is a pain in the butt.
Land Rovers, who would be daft enough to own one?

Ah, I might not be looking for a 6.5-25x50 after all. I thought that was going to be my golden chalice or whatever the word is. May have to stick with my 4.5-14. darn. Or may have to consider something else.

I have a 3-12x50 Zeiss Duralyt on my Kimber .204 & leave in on 10 - I can't afford to shoot squirrels with it

It was there mate and it was a challenging shot so I took it
That's a lot of the reasoning behind wanting another scope, the rifle is capable of very accurate long shots if conditions are right but the ret, which is quite bold, very nearly covered the squirrel which was facing me in six inches of stubble, them little grey things ain't very wide head-on, so more mag and a finer ret was my thinking.

I would like something around the 5-25 mark, fancy a Nightforce with the NP-R1 ret and zerostop, I don't expect it to be as good in low light as the Z-6 but don't think that'll pose to much of a problem.
