Newbi

Post by RUSSIAN SNIPER » 30 Jun 2012, 10:50

Hi just joined the forum as i've just got a Starlight Archer to use for foxing.
Been a member on the airgunbbs since 2002.
Just retired from the armed forces after 24 years.
Very keen deer stalker working on the dsc level 2.

Looking forward to using the archer :)

Cheers

Good choice. I have had one for 6 months & I love it.
I use mine with a Leapers 3-12x44 & have a lovely clear picture.
To get the reticle sharp I have to turn the Leapers eyepiece focus out one turn,
This now makes it fuzzy to look through without the Archer attached but
With the Archer on & the focus on the Archer lens turned to the minimum the reticle
Is now clear & sharp (I hope that makes sense).
I wrapped some insulating tape around the Leapers eyepiece to get a tight sold fit for the
Archer insert & DSA, & I leave the DSA on all the time.
Not the best pic Its my poor camera skills the view through the Archer is very clear.

Good pic mate!
I'll be using it on my nikon monarch with side focus - so hopefully it will be a good scope to use with it.
Had the archer from a guy that bought it new 2 years ago and has used it 3 times
It has got 1 spot on it but looks very clear!!!

Any info on setting it up would be gratefully received!

Cheers

There are one of two post by a bloke on here about how to set it up correctly. Oh, that was me.
Do a search and you will find it. If you have any problems, please feel free to pm me or just post on here.

Number one archer fan.

And I have just heard where there is one coming up for sale secondhand (6 months old) very soon. I am so tempted to add it to my collection.
