hi my name is gary and i am just assembling my own kit , i have a ns 50 but i want something a little better and also something the rabbits dont run from as soon as i turn it on , its the first time i have done anything like this so i have inevitably turned up here .
so far i have a t20 ir 3 setting 5% 50 % and 100 % ebay reversing screen and this camera http://www.aliexpress.com/item/1-3-SONY ... 45914.html and waiting for my lense .

, if thats the camera i think it is people are getting very good results with it.

Hi mate welcome to the forum.
Iv got that camera.
The more i play with it the better it gets.
Lower the gain to get a crisp picture.
I will say that camera seems to pick up the 940nm almost as well as the 850nm.

thanks for that and all the other friendly replies , i am just beginning to understand what its all about i was given the shopping list from a very kind gentleman from another forum and have been surprised that it was not more demanding , hopefully i wont find the need to improve it all the timeandybig wrote:Hi mate welcome to the forum.

Your on the right track mate.
With the bits you got already you cant go far wrong.
Yes you could have spent £40-£80 more on a camera but honestly i dont think you would gain more then 5-10% more distance and that can be gained with a different Ir set up if needed.
