Hi lads,
Just joined because after many years of shooting, all types of weapons, I've got permission on around 100 acres surrounding a posh hotel. They want me to reduce the rabbits at night, silent, and unseen by the guests.
I've got a much Leupy'd Stealth in .22, PH mod, with a Dedal 40 on top, IR illuminator fitted to the side.
I've got to re zero before I venture out, and I'll have to do a day recce or two to scout out the hot spots. Any advice warmly welcomed!!

Sounds like you have good kit, best advice I can suggest is setting out range markers if you are going to shoot from fixed positions. Estimating distance in the dark is a 'dark' art, so cheat.
Get a cheap digital monocular such as the Bresser if you don't have one. Using the gun to spot with in an area that may have strolling lovers or stumbling drunks could end your access pretty much instantly. We've had one member report that 'eye shine' seen through his scope turned out to be reflective tabs on a late might dog walkers shoes, so use of a spotter is a must in my eyes.
A good read through the DIY section will give you hints on how to build a quality digital spotter that will outperform and therefore complement your Gen II, if you are inclined to DIY tinkering.
Also check out Marky610s Youtube videos for IR illuminator tests. If you are using a Dipol, Yukon or Night Master IR, chances are that you can do much better, either by buying off one of the members here who make them on a semi-professional basis, or following one of the build your own stickies.
