I nearly s**t myself last night when the little white blob in the garden border legged it as i walked towards it(next doors cat hiding in plants). Ive just been watching the brakes/wheels on the lorries glowing white/black as they come in and out at work. This is going to be really useful in the field. One thing worth remembering is that the image quality of the hot subject is much better than the surrounding area. What i mean by that is you think the image isnt that clear, then something hot turns up then BOOM you realise why you bought one.

It turns out the package got split and UPS reboxed it without telling anyone. Someones nicked the batteries and charger though. Good job the unit didnt get nicked or damaged as it was the last one they had.
Thanks guys.

Mine has the feint lines in the screen that you menton. Are yours vertical?

I have found that they are reduced by a manual calibration, but never disappear completely.

Can everyone with a 38s see these ljnes?
yep I see lines, I think I've used the word grainy,

I guess if we pay big big bucks we might get something that doesn't have it,

Just being picky I would have liked a neck strap

Don't get them on my Guide, so was wondering if it was only in a particular setting?

I had a good play with settings earlier & still couldn't get rid of the grainy image, maybe thats what you pay the extra for,

I had good success earlier on another fox thats been roaming close to my chicken pen.

I spotted it four times before I managed to get a chance to get rifle on it, then another three times up & down with the NV & thermal before I could make the shot

i was out with mine earlier. watching next doors sheep on a hillside from 500-700yrds away
at one point there was a tree about 70yrds in front of me obscuring part of the sheep field...i could make out 3 sheep through the branches with the naked eye.
looking through the thermal its as if the tree isn't there and i could see 8 sheep clear as a bell

i can see me being impressed with this for quite a while

there is no way I would have got this Vixen without the thermal, It did get a bit awkward switching from thermal to NV, then back on the thermal because it had moved before I got set, a neck strap would have definitely helped or my shooting buddy
