Deliveries from China...

A 747 crashed in Dubai three years ago as a result of a lithium battery fire the hold. The final investigation was wound up in July of this year, the problems with battery deliveries started soon after.

I would not be surprised if there is covert pressure from western govts. on China over vaping supplies as well, it cuts into traditional tax revenues based on cigarettes.

My order of 18650s through BangGood is being shipped out of another country based on the tracking number they gave me, so the story on BLF about them filling a cargo plane and flying them out of China to mail outside of the Hong Kong / Singapore post system seems correct.

If my BangGood order gets through I'll place another order - enough to last for the next few years. I expect all the work arounds will be stopped over the next year.

My worry is that Fast-Tech & DXs delivery & stock issues may indicate they are going the same way as Manafont, and for the same reasons, unable to deliver product, too much returned stock. FastTech are claiming a minimum 15 day hold on non US deliveries at Hong Kong Post, but Kaidomain and Wallbuys manage to deliver within 15 days. So FastTech is being singled out for close inspection, or there may be other issues.

I also had a similar charge when I first paid for it. So that's around £2.10 loss on something that didn't materialize.

Out of curiosity, I checked the tracking number that I was originally given and to my surprise it shows as a new shipment, in transit, from the 7th Nov 2013.

Happy you got most of your funds back. I think you will do better than those of us with Manafont orders.

Fasttech delivered my latest packet after 31 days. Still no batteries after 35 days. Have opened a docket with them, if no joy by Monday will contest with Paypal.
DX delivered my Crelant lens. 30 days from order. Still back ordered on 501B lens.

Ordering from China is an interesting process.

Radagast, Sorry to hear that you still having problems with delivery from China. You would think that by now things would get sorted. All of this is going to be costly to businesses. Myself for one will opt to buy more locally if at all possible, if the cost is not going to be extortionate. Yes, I will still be buying from china but only low price products. Hope you will get your stuff soon.

Have to agree.

So far Wallbuys & Kaidomain & cnsrate on Ebay seem the best, roughly two week turn around.
LED Supermall not too bad at three weeks.
FastTech & DX are bad.

Got a refund from FastTech for my missing battery order. Half an hour after they sent me a 'we'll look into it' message. I'm pleasantly surprised.

My 6800 lithium battery was sitting on my windowsill this morning after purchasing on the 12th of this month, 9 days is very good I think maybe I got lucky!
