So in a ideal world you should have started of with a lower number.
But now it would be silly to change as you wouldn't have data to compare.

The site is really kicking off. I'm surprised no one else has taken the advertising space
To be honest, Paul, we could have filled those advertising spaces. Quite easily, in fact. We are however (and we can only do this because this isn't what we do for a living, although you'd never guess, from the hours that we put in), quite fussy as to who we'd let advertise. Whether it be the fact that their product wouldn't fit in, our scruples won't allow us to to let them on, or they believe that they should dictate how the forum should be run.

We do have overheads and these need to be covered, but as long as we do that, it's all good. If we have some moolah left over so that Geoff can buy an extra garden gnome or two and I can fund my Haribo habit, then that's even better.

That's the way to go George, this is a good honest site and it needs to be kept that way. If ever funds run a little low I'm sure there's a lot on here that would be willing to help, me for one. I know times are hard for a lot at the moment but some of us are fortunate enough to be able to pay a subscription or something without any animosity to those that are suffering hardship (Therefore by the grace of God and all that)

Don't get me wrong, Rod, we ain't crying poverty (I've always had holes in my shoes ;) ). All we're saying is that we're not in this for the money and never were.

The forum pays it's way, so no problem there. We'd never ask you members to contribute, although, very kindly, some of you have offered.

I think our point is that we aren't influenced by the financial gains which could be had.

Got to be the way to go George when possible  Money can't buy everything and certainly can't buy respect, morals or scruples and those are a large part of this site.
