Good day from Cape Town South Africa
Good day from Cape Town South Africa
I am a springbuck farmer in a small town in South Africa namely Koekenaap. It is 300km north from Cape Town.
I am very interested in NV and scopeless gun.
I did try a on board Sony CCD 1/3 with a 16mm lens behind a 2-10 x 40 Hakko scope on m Mini Ruger this weekend. It was then that I was surfing the web that I found this forum. Some very good work and hours of reading ahead of me.
I just bought two new Burris eliminator scopes for the big guns 300Wetherby Mag and a 375 H7H Winchester.
I am also a jackal hunter the 25-06 are build-up for that with good IR lights big revolving hunting chair on a Jeep.
I know from reading the DIY NV forum that I am at the right place.
Thanks

Welcome to the forum
Reading will be the fastest way get you up to speed with what you want to accomplish, then ask questions.
What kind of IR light and night vision equipment do you use now for the jackal hunting?
I do hope you incorporate a DVR to record your adventures!
I am making my first try a scopeless with a EJ230 camera and a 50mm F1.4 C mount lens, another path would be a Watec 902H with a crosshair signal generator.
Regards
Mike

Thanks I will try and post some pictures soon need to get to use the pic up-load thing.
I made my own IR lights ftom 100watt tungstun lamps with home made filters. All 12volt this is the 10 000 000 (10mil candle power) 220mm lense one with IR and one with Red filter. We surge with IR and nightsight binos and when we pick up eye we go to Red light and normal scope 2-10X56 shoot at 75m to 100m.
I use the eagleTact IR T100C2 on the nightsight bino ex millitary with the big Tungstun IR
Pics will be up soon.

Halllooooooooo
Last time I was in Capetown I'd only recently lost my virginity to a whore in Singapore.
I'd previously led a very sheltered life down near Lands End way.
I was the youngest lad onboard and I still remember having to use non-blanc doors to go into a shop or whatever.
