New Member Who Wants To See The Light In The Dark
Hi All As per title, looking to get the low down on the new craze. I'm old and have never been fond of eating carrots so fully in the dark but want that to change for about ten bob maximum.
Re: New Member Who Wants To See The Light In The Dark
OK, tell us a bit more about what you want to do
Are you just looking for wildlife during the hours of darkness or do you also want to shoot it?
If you want to shoot - what do you want to shoot: rats, rabbits, foxes, deer, boar?
If you are going to shoot what kind of rifle(s) and what pellet(s)/cartridge(s) are you using?
BTW, you'll need quite a bit more than 10 bob to get anything useful
Cheers
Bruce

Re: New Member Who Wants To See The Light In The Dark
Hi Bruce
For now just shooting Ratty up to max 30 yards probably, something with more potential down the line I might go for if can get something secondhand. Have been looking at the cheapies on ebay £80 ish etc but don't get a good vibe. PARD seem to be the go to kit but the range is confusing and can't really justify what I'm seeing in new prices. Not sure if either model 007 or 008 can be used day and night etc.
Probably put something on a 3-9x 40AO.
Thanks
RMD
Re: New Member Who Wants To See The Light In The Dark
Just to add I did read some reviews about the ebay kit, some say fine for a bit of ratting others say they are shocking and could either get a decent view or a decent reticle in focus but not both but it appears that is a problem for non AO scopes. I don't know about that and looking for confirmation. My eyes aren't the best either and the big screen idea is appealing but again don't know if it's all BS marketing and can't hit a barn door when they are on.
Thanks
Thanks

Give this a bit of a bump. I have read a bit more since my first post and realise this same question must get asked but has anyone had any luck with the lower end of the NV gear ? Ebay type kit or the Base optics NV90 ?
