I am sure you must have some Scottish blood coursing through your veins. As us Scots are like Terriers when it comes to getting back monies owed. I would have been checking out cheap flights to Germany and be knocking on his door. I would not give a shit if his military experience was previously in the Pioneer Corps or the special forces.
I hope this all sorted and resolved before the fateful day arrives.
