Post by Dalesferreter » 08 Mar 2020, 18:16

hello all.
I'm new to all this.. So please be gentle.
Just bought a Pard08 not got it on the gun yet.
I'm thinking ahead ,But what spare batteries do you carry.18650 flat tops or what size ? 3000mh or above ? and where do you buy them from, what brand etc. a link of where to buy etc would be much appreciated.

Also is there an add on LRF I can purchase ?

regards... an old ferret wrangler.

18650 3400mah flat top unprotected batteries are what you need - anything else may not fit into the battery holder and allow you to get the cap on
Only buy genuine Panasonic, LG, Samsung, Sony ,EFEST or Soshine batteries and only buy them from reputable outlets like Ecolux shop and Torchy the battery boy.
https://www.ecoluxshopdirect.co.uk/pana ... ah-battery
https://www.torchy.co.uk/product/2x-sos ... top-18650/
Avoid any battery with "fire" in its name ( e,g ultrafire) and any battery that claims a capacity of more than 3400mah - because such batteries simply do not exist.
Use a smart charger. Nitecore D2/D4 or XTAR VC2/VC4
Plenty of E bay sellers for these - this is just an example

When you go out, expect about 2 hours continuous run time for a 3400mah battery if you have the IR on full power.
You can extend the run time by using the sleep function (short press of the power switch) which will switch off the IR and the screen to reduce power consumption. Another short press of the power switch will instantly switch the IR and screen back on.
This is pretty much the only rangefinder that can be fitted to the PARD https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/114110978348

Cheers

Yes there is, LE-032, but being Pard user do yourself a favor and upgrade to NV008LRF if you need LRF. Much better solution.

I wouldn't throw loads of money at it until you're sure it's for you.

If it's your only NV then fair enough, they are a very good all in one, but for me it turned out to be too much of a performance compromise.
