Thank you very much, young man. Greatly appreciated. Is there anyone local to me using this DIY set up? I would love to see one in use. South yorks area.

I also know my place and limitations...I don't know if I'm capable of making this set up.

Hmm, the lecky bits just plug and play, which leaves the tube and component tray. Wood is easy to cut shape sand drill and paint and here's the first bit of rigid pipe I have found on the bay - at least enough for 10 attempts, and 42mm I/D should fit over the shtoopit big eye focus knob of the MTC scopes:

Perhaps some could confirm the diameter of the MTC silly knob?

What torch is best compatible with this? I do have a "ultrafire 7.2v xenon" with some IR Perspex as a filter but it doesn't seem to throw enough out to illuminate for my old bresser gen 1 spotting scope. How does the DIY setup compare to the NS/NE kits. I do fancy a go if it works well, though I dare say I'll be on to you guys for advice...

I'm not familiar with that torch - but the one I listed in the build details linked to earlier is definitely more than enough for air rifle ranges.
