Come to the conclusion that we could all be old farts who aren’t keen on change

...if it ain’t broke, don’t fart about with it (unless you have to)
Think the problem is if you don't do the upgrades if and when offered you can miss out on some good new software to speed up or tweek the forum, worst part is it can cause problems the forum didn't have before upgrading.
I don't think it will take them to long to sort it to be honest I would think they must have good resources at hand,if I remember correctly it took a few weeks to sort this forum and was a complete pain in the arse.

BBS going back to the old Version Friday - Important ramifications
Yesterday, 07:59 PM
We have come to the conclusion that VB5 can't cope with the volume of posts contained on the Airgun BBS and there are a few features missing vital to the running of the board.
Therefore on Friday evening at 9pm we will be removing VB5 and its data, and replacing it with the latest version of VB4 and restoring the backup taken at 10pm on Monday the 30th. Vbulletin don't provide a downgrade utility to transfer the data from 5 down to 4.
This means all posts/threads/PMs/avatars/signatures/etc made via VB5 will be lost.
If you are in the middle of a sale then please copy anything you need from the post or pms into a word or notepad file.
Sales will be closed to stop anything new being posted on it. Please do not try to sell something on another part of the BBS. Wait till Satruday.
When VB4 has been restored we will look to add avatars and photo uploading to it.
Its been emotional

Indeed - seems like the PW is also having upgrade issues - being unobtanium for a while now.

I was on PW yesterday at work, (but don't rtell them because I'm supposed to be banned). It comes up "odd" though.
"Land Rover, the worlds best 4x4 by far"
"Argo, a great 8x8"
