Just had the old bloke from across the road pop round and was asking why a fox cub would be buried in his garden.
Apparently his gardener found it after seeing some fur stuck up, it was only buried a couple of inches deep and looked like soil had been scratched over the top of it albeit a shallow hole must have been dug first.
Any ideas as to what's gone on here ?

"Land Rover, the worlds best 4x4 by far"

Hadn't thought of Druids, very quiet of a night around here so fairly sure I'd have heard them and old Jimmy seems to have better hearing than me although nigh on 30 years my senior.
The "other fox" theory was all I could think of but still not heard of them burying dead unless it's a future meal but didn't think they did that either.
Not going to loose any sleep over it.

"Definitely Druids" can't be Rod

? a good Druid would have skinned the carcass first and then built a circle of standing stones with a large oblong stone altar as a centre piece to lay the demised creature on ?
Foxes in general will bury surplus kill, scavenged/carrion, dead creatures, seen a boarder collie steal the freshly snipped balls when a vet was doing some castrations and bury them in 2 different places a short distance from a stock shed and close to the farm house.
There could still be a few rouge Druids lurking about so be careful out there

hey, it could happen....
Well, I understand that, boys... but see, my CAT gets the silly idea you're making fun of HIM... then he gets, *really* mean...
