I wonder if anyone can help?
I bought the above Mini DVR from Maplin as I needed to monitor a remote building which had suffered vandalism. The camera is great and I have a great location for it. I have set it up for 'motion detection' - I have set it up to 'turn the screen off after a minute' - I have set it up for the 'DVR never to turn off' but after a short period of time the unit turns itself off!
Most of the time I can only visit the premises at the weekend and when I set the camera and test it, it works fine. It picks up my movements when I'm there - but once there has been a period of inactivity it seems to turn itself off. So I'll return to the property and go in expecting the Red LED to be flashing (recording) but nothing! To turn it on, I'll have to hold the on/off button down (which is the process for turning it back on). There is still battery life showing in the display and when I go to the 'recordings', there are only files from the day I set it.
Whilst in the menu I have definitely set the 'Auto Off DVR' to 'never' it still turns itself off!
Has anyone else come across this and is there a fix?
Any help will be appreciated.

p.s. it has a 32Gb memory card and doesn't run out of memory.
