Decent air rifle for youngster

Hi chaps, my brother is crazing to borrow my air rifle. My beloved rws Excalibur is not going out ratting with him and his mates!
I suggested we get him his own air gun but there's so much choice these days, looking for something around £150 Anybody got any suggestions?
Are bsa meteors full power these days?
