to me it makes perfect sense - 1 battery to worry about instead of two - it is switched on and off as required so I can have the camera and screen on or camera screen and IR or just the IR if I would want to
The C- State (because it is a complete state my little joke) was a first effort may well go back to this style.....
I have been messing with the cut down gun as well not really sure if it will stay this way but it works well ! - the Desmond gun (because it is a 22) had a 300 mw laser on in this pic but this can be unplugged and the IR plugged into the same supply
there are so many ways to roll this it really is each to their own no right or wrong way just what we are happy with !! as long as we are enjoying it all
Cheers

Still seems like a waste of a purpose made integral and reliably connected battery tube on the torch to make a rig that will deplete the camera/monitor power supply quicker to me, that's just my opinion however so don't mind me - it's your rig mate. I wouldn't want my IR on all the time I'm manouvering the rifle around but I guess there is a certain appeal about it all switching on or off at the same time. I use a remote pressure switch on my IR torch.
Anyway - it's about time you got a picture up.
