New here with a question

Post by svh » 10 Jul 2015, 03:50

Howdy from Missouri, USA.

I live pretty much in the middle of the state, on a sizeable plot out in the sticks, on a ridge overlooking a nice 160 acre lake.

I'm Single, 53 years old, retired, and enjoyin life. I also sharpen knives, and do minor gun smithing for "poker money".

I am a accomplished hunter and fisherman, and scavenge and forage out of choice, not necessity. I stock the freezer with bass, bluegill, crappie, deer, rabbit, and squirrel. Mushrooms, ginseng, and golden seal supplement my income a few times a year.

I enjoy anything "bushcrafty", and am working on several skills such as knapping, and firestarting.

I'm just starting to get into trapping, and predator hunting as there are plenty of coyotes, fox, and bobcat running around my ground.

I've been a firearms enthusiast for over 40 years, and own several AR-15s in .223, and 300 BLK., several rifles in .22, .30, 7mm, and .45 caliber, and pistols in .22, .25, .30, .38, 9mm, .40, and 45 caliber, as well as shotties in 410 bore 20, and 12 ga.

Oh yeah, and the reason I'm here is I bought a Photon XT, and really enjoy it on a .22, poppin pests and varmits around the property. I need to get a DVR for it and am having trouble finding one.

I did buy an Angle Eye, and was sorely disappointed when it didn't work out of the box.

I didn't know it when I bought it, but it came from China (thanks Amazon), and after several weeks of emails, telling me to "try this, and try that" they agreed to take it back. Well, it never made it back to them, got lost on the boat or something, and nobody will take responsibility, so I'm out almost $100.00.

Could any of you kind folks point me in the direction of what you all use ? Something with a small screen, rail mounted, or rail adaptable, or at least easily portable, battery powered, and with an SD card slot.

Sorry for the loooong post,
Steve

Welcome Steve. Can't help you with recording as it isn't something I do. I have enough problems just remembering to bring the correct ammo.

I'm sure someone will come along and advise you.

Those Chinese are crafty......dont tell Jian LOL

So when you send something back, send it signed for and tracking, then they cannot deny they got it back.
