I can't say as I fancy British cuisine after reading through this thread! Can there be so little to eat in Britannia that Her subjects must dine on intestines? I fear that soup lines will be common place here in the United States as well!

My wife and I were friends with an ex pat from Scotland and her family. She used to make the finest Short Bread at Christmas and share some with us! It was heavenly. She never tempted us with the "rare animal". I'd like to come to Scotland some fine day and hunt the Haggis!

They can often be found lurking around large banquet halls on January 25th. That would be your optimum time to get one.
I believe they can be found at most times of the year, but not in such large numbers.
