I have removed the locking ring from the lens now.

Anybody recommend QR Picatinny mounts? Thinking of sticking it on me .17Rem Tikka 595...and swapping dayscope to Photon as and when I lose the light totally. It'll be ideal for that 8-) 's me Fizz I use Leupold Quick Release Weaver rings on my .20BR - cost circa £65. The alternative are the Talley ...
