On full power with a tight spot beam and the S-tac on 12x i can get a great view out to those ranges. So should suit you spot on.

Hi Chris, I find the ret okay mate but it is fine. I know Clive Ward has recommended the Ward 800l with the S-Tac but it works great for me with the 800s. The illuminated dot on its lowest setting works with the Wardy too and isnt too bright so you can use that if you have any issues seeing things. ...

There is no big rush to be honest. If i can pick one up cheaper than the going price at Opticswarehouse i will wait. Want it for NV obviously and to keep rain of the objective lens.
