Personally I find the Ultra HD range infinitely better to look through than the old Legends, which says a lot.

Have you had a look at the old model Simmons Aetec range ? I have a 3.8-12x44 with a plain plex ret and, other than being front PA, it's a tough scope to fault. Very good in low light and reacts well to both NV and lamp. The illuminated ret is a bonus, if you like that sort of thing. Just a thought...
