You can sand the lens down to fit bud. I used a belt sander to reduce the diameter of the 66mm lens in my latest project. Wanted 46mm Asheric lens
As Title Ive got an Ultrafire RL2088
Im thinking it might be a good IR conversion it has an Osram CREE on a std Osram star pcb so shouldn't be to hard to change
so would need an Aspheric lens the OD of the flat one is 46mm with 41mm showing thru the bezel

10 to 50 x 56 with mil dot for 177 cal use it on 10 x for ratting and scanning or quick shots and 50 mag for long range checking out the next field shooting at over 25yrds / sniping never use the in between mags just 10 or 50 using teh Mil dot with 177 at 12ft lbs the trajectory matches the mil dots...

You may indeed find that it works okay for you, Duncan, and it will of course save you from sourcing a new scope.
