Personally I don't do this as mine stays on one rifle all the time, however I believe the chap above has answered your question.
What I can say is that the Drone is very usable during the day, although clearly not as good as a proper day-scope but certainly good enough to shoot crows at above 300 yards for instance.

I can vouch for a Dronpro (10x in my case) on/off and day scope in Warne QD rings on/off all the time and return to Zero.
