Okay gents, as I now use the thermal for all of my spotting, I've got some high quality 'c' mount lenses for sale. These aren't your run of the mill lenses
Ideally suited for Watec based spotters. The Fujinon and the Canon aren't for the faint hearted as these are big fellas, especially the Canon.
Now for the science:
Canon TV zoom lens. 15-150mm f 1:2.8. 185mm long with a 68mm diameter front lens. Fully adjustable everything. Comes with lens hood, front cap and in it's protective case. I'm not exagerrating when I say that this would cost over £1k when new. Great working order and superb glass.
Price is £100 plus a tenner for postage (a right heavy mother is this).
Fujinon TV zoom lens. 10.5-147 f 1:1.9. 170mm long with a 63mm diameter front lens. Fully adjustable everything. Great working order and superb glass.
Price is £80 plus £8 postage. NOW SOLD, THANKS.

Price is £50 posted. NOW SOLD, THANKS.
Thanks for looking.

Just a point, fellas, in that these are true zoom lenses and not varifocal.
In other words, once you have these set, you can zoom in and out and they'll always be in focus, unlike a varifocal where you have to constantly twiddle with the settings in order for it to remain in focus.

Sorry Stew, but I've no idea and I don't have a Ranger here to try it on.
Marky might know as he's had more dealings with Rangers than I have.

I've just watched those vids.
They certainly use a 50mm with a low f stop, as this is. One of them is an early Canon lens and not sure of the other. They don't appear to be threaded on, simply held there with a shroud of some description.

With the Fuji, is that 147mm and f1.9? The front lens seems too small to allow that?

Peter, the lens runs from f 1.9 to f 22.

Hi George
I am wondering if someone used the lens set to 150mm and used it similarly to " some bloke's dedicated watec rig",
What sort of image they are likely to see?
Would you say the image is magnified to around 12x. Or some similar magnification comparing to a scope?
Cheers
