Pulsar XP 28

Has anyone got the XP 28, is it a reasonable idea to buy with the view to buying the interchangeable 50mm lens at a later date?

Personally, I don't think so
A Helion XP 28 retails at£3050 and an XP50 at £3670 - so approx £620 for the larger lens
A 50mm lens to upgrade your XP28 to an XP50 costs £980 so you'd be £360 worse off - unless you have a specific use for a 28mm lens

Ah, I couldn't find prices for the lenses. So the xp gains would be lost on the 28 lens?

If going for an XP I would always choose the XP50 model, 2.5x mag is the perfect balance of field of view and detection/identification range, the larger lens will perform better in poor weather and give and all round better image.
