Clive, you may want to build some with red/orange Crees, throw further than red, built a few, and a few people prefer them to the red Crees, just a thought......

I'll give them a go. I've got some amber to try and have also done some previous testing on a warm white high CRI high power XPL which was tremendous in even a T20. Lots more power, expensive LED, but also none of the blue tint reflecting off moisture in the air / dust, etc. :thumbup:

i've noticed the higher kelvin leds are harder to look at if you know what i mean.. it's just too white for older eyes. verses the higher cri lower kelvin led's that are just ahhhhhhhh so nice to see lol.

(i suspect theres less of the light spectrum that yours eyes can pick up on on the hi kelvin stuff..just 'dazzle')

Best one to date in red was/is an sst 90 driven at 9 amps ! Hell of abeam , need a bigggggg battery though, great for foxing, the White sst also is something to behold ! Through a 75mm aspheric.....
