hi Guys i want to get a 16mm fixed board lens for an add on but what i want to know is what is the best AOV i should go for

thanks for the info on the 16mm lens looking at the spec i see its a 20 degree aov for some reason i thought the aov was to be tighter than that something around 12 degrees so it doeskin really matter what the aov is on a 16 mm lens

Stock optics do one, bit more expensive, but they are a big improvement ......

I don't know what angle they quote for these lenses, it might be horizontal, vertical or diagonal, they're all different.
Have a quick play here http://www.sweeting.org/mark/lenses/cctv.php it's not gospel but is a good indicator.

not sure about which aov is best, all I know is this lets in a hell of a lot more light and gives a really good picture ;)

as a comparison, here's a pic.......the one on the left is the standard 16mm lens that sure fit to the E700..the one on the right is the one in the link

That's an impressive comparison, working out the sums from the pic it sems the better lens has around about 625% more glass area.
Got to be good.
