hawke nv 1000

Post by Anglian » 20 Apr 2014, 15:14

Hi all
just an idea, would it be possible to remove the reticle on a 40mm scope and insert it in the hawke nv1000 spotting scope which also uses 40mm lenses?if it could be done it could then be fitted with an adjustable mount for zeroing on the gun
regards Russ

Extremely doubtful, since most reticles are not etched onto any of the glass in a scope, but are very fine wires which sit in the path of the light as it passes through the scope.
A few scopes do have the reticle etched onto one of the lenses in the ocular, but not on the objective lens, so the fact that your scope and spotting scope both have 40mm lenses isn't really relelvant.

Cheers
