Camera mount tube?

Post by gupster » 27 Jan 2014, 20:54

Hi,

Looking to build my first diy NV setup. Ive ordered a camera similar size to the ej700. Ive seen a few photos of people that have a tube over the rear of the scope which houses the camera. Just wondering what people have been using.

Thanks :)

Gone for a cheap alternative, just a board camera without housing. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/700TVL-Effio- ... 6350186%26

Once ive had a play with this will then upgrade to a better quality camera.

gupster, what you are after is called a day scope adaptor (DSA).....theres loads of options in the d.i.y section
oslon black drivers

when asking for advice, please include what n.v device and/or illumination you already have (if any) and what rifles you intend to use them on...cheers

Ok thanks. Will have a search around. Saw one that someone had made a carbon fiber look tube. Think the simple tube that hides the camera is quite a neat tidy idea.

you may also need to think about changing the lens mount to a cs mount http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CS-Mount-CCTV ... 19dfa20d91

and change the lens for a 16mm cs http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/F1-2-16mm-1-3 ... 2c55f4db03

it will help with the quality of the image you get and it easier to mount into a DSA, as the lens body diameter is 30mm ;)
