board camera query

Post by Ferrety » 18 Nov 2013, 21:47

I've just put a new board camera into my spotter and having a slight problem which hopefully someone can advise me on
Board camera from Aliexpress item model no. SDTX-CD-CO24 700TVL 1/3 Sony CCD Sensor ICX673 +CXD4146+D5148
and I asked them to leave off the IR filter. Image is bright and clear with good detail over 150 m using 50mm Maglite and
6-60mm lens
My problem is that the image on the monitor is reversed which is confusing to say the least.
Can this be rectified in any way by using the OSD menu and if so how? or is the camera duff
No comments that I've got the camera in wrong way round as that's already been suggested.
thanks

If you are using a car reversing monitor it has two camera feeds - one of them is reversed for reversing of all things.

Hold a mirror infront of the screen and look at that, it will be the right way round then

You'll find it's the mirror function, just switch it over and all will be as it should be....I have a cheapy sony cam here with the same in the menu, can flick it to show a mirror image etc.

If it is the mirror mode, this can be found within the picture adjustment menu, in the camera, assuming that you have the facility to get on to the OSD menu.
