N.V on the cheap!

Post by poppy mae » 09 Jun 2015, 20:31

http://youtu.be/GthYSMZFvbg Knocked this up for a friend at the weekend, to use on a mamba 4-16 x 50 scope, total cost of everything( mounts , everything) was £127 , performance wise , works really well , better than a watec, but a nads under an e700, more than enough . Cost breakdown , camera £28, i.r light+ battery £55 (second hand), dsa £5 , screen £15, mount £20, upgraded the led to new olson say £5 odds and sod, plugs etc a couple of pound. the screen works well on the rear of the push/pull rod, lined up with the i.r. Oh 16mm lens fitted, had a spare one floating around. The bloke whos it is left to do the wiring, on test , 150yds no issue at 14x , still a reasonable picture at 300yds on 10x, so a cheap little setup, a couple of years ago you would be made up with this performance, know this type of set up been done to death, but hey ho.......
