I wonder how many he has to sell to get back what he paid out for his 3D printer?

I was under the impression that printed items were nowhere near as robust / strong as moulded or machined ? There can be a fair bit of stress on a dsa when it's clamped or if you catch it against something.
Will they last, or will they drop off?

Strength on 3D printed stuff depends on the design, the printer, the print process and the material.

Personally I would spend the extra £10 or so and go for Daves collet type DSA.

Please don't get me wrong,, I'm not knocking someones designs or ideas. I think it's amazing the things you can do with 3D printers, but there is a saying that "a chain is only as strong as it's weakest link" And a 3D printed item is made up of layer after layer of filaments,, so there is potentially a lot of weak links,, Which explains why it is made so thick, to give it extra strength. I would love to own a 3D printer myself, then when i broke something i could just print another.. :D
