Yup - it's a 25mm one with broadband coatings that benefit IR wavelengths.
It also has some 'free' mag which allows you to wind down the scope mag a bit to let a wider scope exit pupil focus a better image to the sensor. Google 'exit pupil for a better explanation than I can give for that.

I c the aperture is f1.8 on that lens. Will that effect the distance of what I can see. shooting at range with this kit.

I have to say I dont know the aperture size of the 16mm Sure24 one but by turning down the mag a bit you should logically see further.

EDITED - wrong lens.

Would you put up a link to the F 1.2 one please?

This is the lens Rolaids tested as being the best.

To my untrained eye it does give a better picture than the OEM item.

OOPS - I've told you the wrong one DUR, sorry. I'll email you in the hope you can change it.

It should be this one:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/25mm-IR-Board ... 0971149583

I think aperture is measured as focal length divided by objective Lens diameter. The lens appears to be about 6mm so 16 divided by 6 makes a guessed aperture of about 2.6 if I have got that right.

Hopefully someone better informed will be along shortly.
