Hello, and please help [emoji28][emoji1308]
Hi. New here. Been about a few other places over the years.
Need advice on moving the laser on the 008lrf as it pings the left side of the screen an I don’t like it. I was told it’s easy but would like someone to talk me through it if possible.
Also, I have a 007 that I want to wipe the inside of the ocular lense as i can see dust on it. Again I’m not sure how to tho.
Thanks

The flash can be moved.
If you want to try, this is what you do:
1. Prise off the black plastic cover at the front of the rangefinder unit
2. There are 6 small cross head screws which control where the laser splash appears on the screen. The screwheads will probably be covered in black silicone gunk, but pick that away with a sharp pointed tool
2. I would start by slightly tightening all 3 screws on the the left hand side looking into the rangefinder
3. Try the rangefinder and see if the splash has moved, and if so in what direction
4. Basically play around with the tightness of the 6 screws until you get the splash where you want it
Cheers

Thanks Bruce, the cover of the lrf looked to be built in as part of the case to the 008 is that not how it is then, I also tapped it and it sounded metal not plasticphoenix wrote:The flash can be moved.

They may have changed it, but on mine it was just a thin shiny plastic cover that could easily be prised of with a thin bladed tool.
If you have attached an image, it's not's visible.

It looks as though I’d have to take the whole front of the unit off

Show us a pic looking into the front of the rangefinder module.
This is what mine looked like before removing the plastic cover and then, with the cover removed, showing the screws that have to be adjusted to move the laser splash

That's the same as mine so just use a thin bladed tool in the gap between the 2 lenses and work the plastic cover loose.
Then follow the instructions on my earlier post.
Cheers
