For those who don't know You Tube are removing airgun videos and closing sites. Teds Holdover and Holdover vlog have already gone, no videos. There is a list of others on Airgunnation.com to suffer as well. Think that all airgun videos are in danger of being removed .
What a nice World we live in that perfectly legal pursuits are subjected to interference by weenies whilst allowing other dubious activities and videos free reign.
Safe shooting

Re: You Tube removing Airgun Videos
More info if anybody is interested
YT is now targeting powder burner sites. Military arms channel closed.
So any ads or YT videos of absolutely anything to do with shooting will be deleted.
Google owns YT .
Also right wing sites being targeted.
Feel there will be a law suit sooner rather than later.
Surprised no one has commented as this affects all of us. Those nice videos of night vision equipment we use to choose and buy equipment will soon not be available.

There may be a law suit but I can't see someone whose videos have been removed (for whatever reason) winning in court.
Remember, that no-one has a right to have their videos accepted for viewing by You Tube - otherwise it would be full of ISIS Jihadis cutting peoples heads off.
The US Constitution give US citizens the right to bear arms and to speak freely, but it doesn't mean they have the right to be seen or heard on YouTube or any other media. In the end, it's the owners of the media who have the right to decide what appears.
Cheers

Hear what you say.
Suggest you log on to Airgunnation.com - there are loads of comments and some legal beagle responses.
Forget the 2nd amendment these laws are more general and world wide. The EU has some extremely interesting rights enshrined also.
In the meantime say goodbye to any shooting related YT video. If Google follow that deleting search responses .....?

Re: You Tube removing Airgun Videos
Hi All,
I've had a look at this, and it appears that the situation arises from someone who does not agree with the content of the video has reported it to YouTube for review. Now this report may be genuine or indeed part of a malicious campaign by a group opposed to the content.
Then it all goes wrong. A human being then has to use their judgement to review the video. My personal belief is that this human being will in most cases be an intern or call centre drone with a massive workload who will just make an arbitrary decision based on their personal views without any regard for accuracy or indeed impact of their poor decision. In short the person judging the content couldn't care less and the vast company they work for has so much throughput, they also couldn't care less.
We've experienced exactly the same situation with other gigantic companies such as PayPal, Ebay and FB who have made similar incorrect arbitary judgements. Your best bet is to not rely on them.
Cheers

Youtube seems to had its day. Vimeo will probably be the next one
Re: You Tube removing Airgun Videos
The advertisement income revenue is the fiddlers tune that plays to the dance of the politically correct do-gooders who don't understand field sports or outdoor activities, there is probably a new society being formed as we speak calling it's self "Adopt a Brown Rat & Let's save the Grey Squirrel"
Thanks

Ted made an appeal to the powers that be and has now had some, if not all of his clips replaced back on the yt site.
