Hello
Hello
Hi all,new to the forum but have been reading and gaining knowledge for a while now which has led me to purchase an xq38f which I picked up yesterday went out for a play last night and spotted a deer and fox and also a little field vole or similar which was great because it was in amongst the stubble about 20 yards away but really stood out on the hot black pallette. I had it set on auto calibration and it kept closing the shutter every few minutes and freezing for a second or so !! Could anyone tell me if this is normal ? Thanks and I am sure I will keep the questions coming as I am a complete novice with this kind of device . Mike.
Re: Hello
It will auto calibrate as you have described.
As you scan around, any significant changes in temperature will tend to make it calibrate itself.
You can set it to manual calibration, and when the image quality degrades to the point where it annoys you, just hit the calibrate button.
You'll lose the picture for a couple of seconds and then it will come back on better than it was before.
Cheers
